Of course, it depends mostly on the speaker used. The properties of the coil is a big factor in determining what happens to the signal leaving the amp, which is why different inductors sound different with different speakers. There isn't more bass, that's not what I meant. I meant that a depth is added to the sound, like when you use the bass boost function on the crappy sound equalizer of a phone. You have surely noticed this when using the TPA amp? But I've used both amps with different speakers and the difference is always noticeable.

I should also mention that I did some testing with radios. I don't have a spectrum analyser so I can't do any "real" tests, but this is at least something. I took a ferrite bead amp, and placed it next to an FM radio, with speakers connected. When I turned the amp on, it made no difference to the radio reception. I then connected the audio input of the amp to the headphone output on the radio, and once they shared a common ground, there was massive interference and the radio was unusable. I did the same test with the inductor amp, and the amp could be connected up and run absolutely fine from the radio, with no interference. So even forgetting sound differences, I think it's worth using inductors for this reason alone. I'd suggest you do your own testing on this with the amp you have already. I'll also do the same test with your MAX amp and see what happens.
