Hello Hendrik and analogspiceman,
there is already a symbol for this purpose. It's 'Epoly' and 'Gpoly'.
They are in the LTspice components menu under
Components->Misc Epoly, Gpoly
The name may be misleading but they are really the same as Evalue
and Gvalue.
Another chance is to copy Epoly.asy to Evalue.asy. Then you have
an symbol named Evalue in the components selection menu.
I often use Epoly and Gpoly and had never the wish to rename it
to Evalue.
