I am looking at Amidon cores right now. What material should I use for the post filter (I have -2, -3, -6, -12, -26 to choose from), and what is the motivation for the different ones? The -2 recommended above has one of the lowest frequency capabilities of the above ones listed.

I would also be thankful if anybody could point me in the direction of info on how to calculate inductance, current capability, magnetic field strength in the core etc.

I havent seen any output inductors using litz wire, why?
